YORK, Pa. — A York County man has been charged with stabbing his twin brother.
Matthew Cruz, 24, was arrested Tuesday night by Northern York County Regional Police, who found him walking along the road near the crime scene on the 1200 block of Hanover Road shortly after the alleged incident occurred.
According to police, Cruz stabbed his brother in the right thigh during an argument. The victim told police they were arguing over whether he had returned a speaker he'd borrowed from Cruz.
During the confrontation, the two brothers got into a physical altercation and were wrestling in the yard in front of the victim's home.
At that point, the victim reported he felt Cruz stab him in the leg.
Cruz is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault, and harassment.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Thomas J. Reilly, who set bail at $30,000, according to court records.
Cruz was remanded to York County Prison after failing to post bail.
