YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Police in York County have charged a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that injured two people in Heidelberg Township last month.

Miguel Pascual, 52, of New Oxford, was charged after an investigation by Northern York County Regional Police.

He is accused of being the driver of a white Ford Explorer that struck a motorcycle, severely injuring its two passengers, a 53-year-old Seven Valleys man and his 10-year-old daughter, on October 14.

Police at the scene of the crash, which occurred on York Road and Porters Road, located several car parts belonging to the striking vehicle and obtained surveillance video from multiple nearby businesses to identify the suspected vehicle involved.

On Oct. 16, investigators got an anonymous tip from a worker at Hillandale Farms in Gettysburg, who claimed they overheard a coworker, whom they identified as Pascual, discussing his alleged involvement in the crash.

The informant told police Pascual drove a white Ford Explorer, but they hadn't seen him driving the vehicle since the day of the crash.

Other Hillandale Farms employees interviewed by police corroborated the initial tipster's claims, stating they'd heard Pascual discussing his involvement in the crash.

Police confirmed Pascual owned a white 2022 Ford Explorer and used cell phone records to verify that he was in the area of the crash on the date and time of the hit-and-run.

Pascual is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, accidents involving death or personal injury, driving without a license, failing to stop and render aid, failure to notify police of an accident, failure to stop at a stop sign, careless driving, reckless driving, driving without a license and driving without insurance.
