One dead in York County crash

The vehicle reportedly drove into a house, leaving one person dead, according to York County Emergency Dispatch.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in York County.

According to York County Emergency Dispatch, the crash happened along the 2000 block of Old Trail Road in Newberry Township at 7:47 p.m. on Tuesday. 

Crews at the scene told FOX43 that the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead after crashing sideways into a home. 

The York County Coroner's Office pronounced Michael Geesey, of Manchester, dead at the scene.

Dispatch confirmed that Newberry Township Police are at the scene and expect Old Trail Road to be closed for an extended period of time.

There were two people inside the residence, who were uninjured.
