YORK, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that workers are scheduled to begin sealing cracks along Interstate 83 and Route 30 in York County next week.
Crack sealing will be performed on the I-83 mainline and ramps from the Maryland border to Exit 40 (Limekiln Road) and on the Route 30 mainline and ramps from Abbottstown to Wrightsville, PennDOT said in a press release.
The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 15 (weather permitting). It will be performed nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to PennDOT.
During the work hours, there will be rolling lane closures in place, PennDOT said. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and stay alert for construction vehicles and workers while driving through work zones.
The project is expected to last until July 10, PennDOT said.
CriLon Corporation of Somerset County is the contractor on this $739,048 project.
