Police investigate reported shooting at York laundromat

Police on the scene of a reported shooting at a laundromat on the 200 block of South Queen St. in York Thursday evening.

YORK, Pa. — Update, 11:40 a.m. (Oct. 27): A 29-year-old man sustained a non-life-threatening injury from a gunshot wound from a shooting that actually occurred on the first block of East College Avenue, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to a reported shooting in York.

It was reported at 4:50 p.m. at the Big Wash Laundromat on the 200 block of South Queen Street in the city. 

Witnesses at the scene reported that the laundromat was briefly closed off with caution tape. 

East Princess Street and East College Avenue were closed in the area, but have since reopened. 

There was no immediate word on whether anyone was injured.
