YORK COUNTY, Pa. — State Police in York County are investigating the theft of several dirt bikes.
According to PSP, Troop J - York Station was notified of stolen dirt bikes on the 400 block of Huffmanville Road in Codorus Township on Nov. 21.
Through an investigation, it was discovered that seven dirt bikes were stolen between the hours of midnight and 4 a.m. that same day from a detached garage.
One dirt bike was recovered in a nearby cornfield.
Witnesses described two vehicles involved with the incident. One was a white or silver 2000-2010 Chevrolet pickup with an extended cab (the pickup reportedly had a short bed with ladder racks in poor condition), and the other was a newer model white Honda Accord or Civic.
Both vehicles were observed fleeing south on Maryland State Route 27 and traveling into Westminster, Md. State Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to contact Trooper Matthew Johnson at 717-428-1011.
