YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A Stewartstown man died from his injuries at a hospital hours after crashing his car while trying to pass a mail truck in Yoe Borough, the York County Coroner's Office announced today.
James Nolder, 62, crashed into a utility pole around 11:25 a.m. on Dec. 19 as he tried to pass a mail truck on South Main Street, witnesses said.
Emergency responders took him to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, which Nolder succumbed to approximately four and a half hours later, around 3:50 p.m.
The coroner says Nolder was the only person in his 2008 Hyundai at the time of the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
