YORK, Pa. — A York County restaurant was temporarily closed after being damaged in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.
The Stonybrook Family Restaurant, located at 3560 E. Market St. in Springettsbury Township, was closed for the day following the incident, which occurred around 10 a.m., according to emergency dispatch.
The restaurant's owner said a customer was backing out of the parking lot when they became distracted and hit the gas, causing the vehicle to strike the exterior of the building. The structure was heavily damaged by the impact, and the restaurant was forced to shut off its power and close down for the day.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. A customer sitting inside the restaurant at the time of the impact was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, staff at the restaurant told FOX43.
Stonybrook Family Restaurant's owner said they will reopen Wednesday, July 10 at 5 a.m.
