Ten displaced in fire started by fireworks in York

Fire officials say six adults and four children were displaced as a result of the illegal use of fireworks.

YORK, Pa. — York City fire officials say ten people were displaced after fireworks caused a fire in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 600 block of Manor Street for a reported structure fire.

When crews arrived, fire was visible from the 2nd floor rear balcony of the home and the roofline.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire was fireworks.

The fire caused $75,000 in damages.
