YORK, Pa. — Police and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after a tractor-trailer truck drifted into a bank in York on Friday.
The incident was reported at 1:44 p.m. at the First National Bank on South Queen Street and St. Charles Way. At the scene, officers determined that the tractor-trailer had crashed into the front of the building.
A preliminary investigation revealed that before the incident, the tractor-trailer was parked on the opposite side of S. Queen Street, in the parking lot of the Sunoco Gas Station.
The driver left the truck, at which point it proceeded to drift across all lanes of S. Queen Street, striking two cars before coming to a final rest in front of the First National Bank.
At the time of the crash, the bank was occupied by employees and customers. No injuries were sustained, according to police.
The incident is currently under investigation.
