YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Two Baltimore women have been charged with reportedly robbing two York County banks.

According to the Southern Regional Police Department, on Sept. 14, officers were dispatched to an M&T Bank in Shrewsbury for a reported bank robbery.

The affidavit of probable cause states that two women- later identified as Shakim Bryant, 34, and Andrea Garrett, 39, both from Baltimore, Maryland- entered the bank. Bryant reportedly stood by a table inside and asked if the bank had security because she lost her keys in the parking lot.

Staff members reportedly told her they did not have security and she left the bank.

Garrett then allegedly walked up to the teller counter and held a note out in front of her. According to the affidavit, the note read along the lines of, "I've been watching you, I have people outside your home, we will hurt your family if you do not give us all the money in the drawer."

The teller emptied the drawer and gave the money to Garrett, who police stated walked out of the bank with the money in her hand. The teller reportedly witnessed Garrett and Bryant enter a gray Honda bearing Maryland registration and drive off.

In total, $1,305 was reportedly stolen.

Officers and troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police were investigating the scene when PSP received a call for another robbery at the Truist Bank in Shrewsbury Township.

Responding troopers located Garrett and Bryant leaving the bank and arrested both women. According to police, both suspects have extensive criminal histories and were both on probation/parole.

According to the affidavit, over $1,400 was found in Bryant's purse, which was wadded up around her Maryland ID. The note Garrett reportedly used at the bank was also located in the car.

The robbery at Truist Bank in Shrewsbury Township is still under investigation.
