Northern York County Regional Police have arrested two suspects who reportedly took a construction vehicle on a joyride through a York County park earlier this month.

Tyler A. Stough, 21, and a 17-year-old juvenile suspect have both been charged with theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief, according to police.

The other suspect will be charged in juvenile court, police said.

The alleged incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on October 6, according to police. Stough and the other defendant allegedly stole a milling machine from a construction site at North George Street and 8th Avenue in the North York borough.

They then rode the vehicle to Kauffman Park, driving it across the park's basketball court and running over benches, trash cans, and parking signs, police said. The construction vehicle eventually became disabled while traveling through grass, according to police.

Police claimed the alleged joyride caused an estimated $15,000 worth of damages to the park; the Wirtgen W50 DCi milling machine was valued at more than $200,000.

Stough is awaiting a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer Clancy.
