York County community supports fundraiser benefitting hospitalized 14-year-old

On Monday, June 17, Red Rose Restaurant and Lounge hosted a pizza fundraiser with all of the proceeds going directly toward Kaeley Saylor's family.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Business at a York County pizza shop was booming, all for a local 14-year-old.

On June 7, Kaeley Saylor was struck by a car and severely injured, according to the Facebook page Pizza for Kaeley. She was transported via medevac for emergency care due to possible brain injuries.

Following the devastating news, Red Rose Restaurant and Lounge hosted a pizza fundraiser on Monday, June 17 with all proceeds going directly toward Kaeley's family.

The community quickly came out to show their support for the cause. According to Red Rose's Facebook page, wait times stretched to over two hours and cars lined the road.

The fundraiser was originally scheduled from 5-8 p.m., but due to such a large community turnout, the owners of Red Rose decided to go until the pizzas ran out.

This is just one of many fundraisers being held for Kaeley and her family. On Wednesday, June 19 a Food Truck Benefit for Kaeley has been organized at Flinchbaugh's Orchard and Farm Market from 4-8 p.m.
