York County crash leaves motorcyclist dead

According to the York County Coroner's Office, the crash occurred Saturday evening in Penn Township.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — One person was pronounced dead in a crash Saturday evening.

According to the York County Coroner's Office, the coroner was dispatched to UPMC Hanover Hospital at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday for a reported death after a two-vehicle crash in Penn Township.

The motorcyclist, Riley Emig, 19 of Paradise Township, was helmeted and reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck an F150 pick-up truck that had been pulling a trailer at about 4:47 p.m.

The truck had been turning off of Beaver Creek Road onto Broadway in Penn Township when the crash occurred. 

The Penn Township Police Department are currently investigating.
