YORK COUNTY, Pa. — York County officials are mourning the loss of "an amazing K9."
The Search 93- South Central Pa. Search and Rescue Facebook page posted that K9 Dargo passed on Monday, July 15.
"K9 Dargo you were loved by many and our hearts are breaking at the loss of one of our own," the Facebook post read.
K9 Dargo- whose full name was Dargo Bett Silver- was born on Nov. 13, 2011, in Czechoslovakia. He carried the rank of captain in the York County Sheriff's Office.
Dargo was trained in explosive detection, tracking, building searches, area searches, article searches and other detection abilities.
