MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Lottery on Wednesday announced that sales are underway for its New Year’s Millionaire Raffle, which features four separate drawings that will award four prizes of $50,000 each every other week, leading up to the January 4, 2025 drawing.
"Since its launch in 2005, this highly anticipated Raffle has captured the hearts of Pennsylvania Lottery players, creating 136 new millionaires over the past 20 years,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “We encourage players to keep and sign their Raffle tickets, as they remain eligible for the final drawing on January 4. It’s our dedicated players and games like the Millionaire Raffle that enable us to generate essential funds for vital programs and services that benefit older Pennsylvanians.”
The January 4, 2025, drawing will award 6,000 cash prizes totaling more than $5 million:
- four $1 million prizes
- four $100,000 prizes
- 100 prizes of $1,000
- 5,892 prizes of $100
“Millionaire Raffle tickets make great stocking stuffers for those 18 or older during the holiday season,” said Svitko. “It only takes one ticket to win, so whether you’re buying for yourself or others, please remember to keep the game fun by playing responsibly.”
Ticket sales end Saturday, January 4 at 8 p.m. (unless sold out sooner). Only ticket numbers sold are included in the drawing. Ticket numbers are sold sequentially across the Commonwealth, starting at 00000001 and ending at 00500000.
To be considered a winning ticket, the number on a Millionaire Raffle ticket must exactly match a winning number selected in the drawing, and all digits must appear in the same sequence as the winning number.
If all tickets are sold, each $20 ticket offers a 1 in 125,000 chance of winning one of the $1 million top prizes. The drawing’s overall chances of winning any prize are 1 in 83.
On January 4, winning numbers will be randomly selected by a computer and posted at palottery.com after 10 p.m. Players should check each ticket using scanners found at Lottery retailers or with the Ticket Checker on the Lottery’s Official App.
4s Galore Drawings
Four 4s Galore Drawings mentioned above will each award four prizes of $50,000 over the course of the sales period for a total of $800,000 in bonus prizes. Players do not need to take extra steps to be eligible for these drawings, as each ticket purchased during that period will be automatically eligible for that drawing:
- Drawing 1: Tickets sold from November 12 - 18.
- Drawing 2: Tickets sold from November 19 - December 2.
- Drawing 3: Tickets sold from December 3 - 16.
- Drawing 4: Tickets sold from December 17 - 30.
Winning ticket numbers for these drawings will be posted at palottery.com. Players may also scan their tickets to see if they won.
Because a 4s Galore Drawing ticket is still eligible for the January 4 drawing, players are reminded to sign and keep their tickets. Winners should visit a Pennsylvania Lottery office in order to claim their $50,000 drawing prize in person and should not claim this prize at a retailer or by mail. PA Lottery Headquarters in Middletown remains closed to the public. See rules and claim instructions at palottery.com.
