DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Update, Nov. 17: The victim has been identified as Richard Bakaric, 63, of Harrisburg.
Lower Swatara Township Police said the incident remains under investigation and there are no further details.

An eastbound vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Dauphin County Monday evening. It happened on the Harrisburg Pike at Rosedale Ave. in Lower Swatara Township around 5:15 p.m. Police say efforts to revive the victim were not successful.
The Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team closed the road while investigating the crash.
Police have not released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
