Former president Donald Trump's visit to York Monday afternoon is expected to impact traffic on two major highways near the city, officials said.
The Republican presidential nominee is scheduled to visit Precision Custom Components, located at 500 Lincoln Street, at about 3 p.m. The former president is expected to discuss the economy during the campaign appearance.
York City officials said traffic on Route 30 and Interstate 83 near the city will be "greatly impacted" by the former president's visit.
"Specifically, both Route 30 and Interstate 83 will be heavily congested due to the highways being shut down sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. and again between 4 and 5 p.m.," the city said in a press release.
In addition, city officials said, Hartley Street between Gas Avenue and Linden Avenue will be closed during Trump's visit, as well as Manchester Street from Company Street to Park Street.
