PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz announced a bus tour through Central Pennsylvania this week.
This will be the first time Harris and Walz campaign together in Pennsylvania, which is considered an important swing state.
The two are expected to make multiple stops, including in York County, and will meet directly with voters.
Residents around the area have received texts from the Harris-Walz team and are waiting to receive final event times and locations.
The tour is expected to come after Tuesday’s vice-presidential debate in New York City, where Walz and Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance are expected to faceoff for the first time.
A recent Associated Press poll shows, nationwide, Tim Walz is viewed more positively by voters than JD Vance.
Experts say historically, vice-presidential nominees have had little to no impact on voters’ decisions on Election Day.
However, this race could be different given how close the numbers are in some swing states.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is also expected to visit Pennsylvania this Saturday at the site of his first assassination attempt in Butler County.
Tuesday’s debate is expected to start at 9 p.m. and will be hosted by CBS News.
