Lloyd Smucker (R) - U.S. House District 11

Lloyd Smucker (R) is running for re-election to the U.S. House to represent Pennsylvania's 11th Congressional District. He will face Jeffrey Wilder (R).

Republican Lloyd Smucker will be on the April 23 primary ballot in an effort to get reelected to his seat as State Representative to the U.S. House for Pennsylvania's 11th Congressional District. His current term began on Jan. 3, 2023, and ends on Jan. 3, 2025.

He is up against Jeffrey Wilder (R).

His mission statement is:

We help all families access and achieve their American Dream. We promote freedom and personal accountability. We fight for free enterprise to stop socialism. We serve by listening, respecting and helping.

Smucker first took office for the 11th District in 2019. Before that, he represented the 16th Congressional District from 2017-2019 and was a Pennsylvania state senator from 2009-2016. Smucker also had a few stints in West Lampeter municipal government prior to being elected to Congress.

He is currently a part of the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means.

Before his career in politics, Smucker attended Franklin & Marshall College and Lebanon Valley College. He also owned his own construction company from 1981 to 2005, according to Ballotpedia

He endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.

He voted "nay" to the impeachment of Former President Donald J. Trump, as well as the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021, and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. 

He voted "yea" to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022, the SAFE Banking Act of 2021, and the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act. 

When Smucker announced his reelection campaign, he vowed to focus on reigniting the American Dream to ensure every individual has the opportunity to achieve their own success.
