WASHINGTON — Plans are underway for a massive demonstration following President-elect Donald Trump's win at the polls last week. Dubbed "The People's March on Washington," the rally is scheduled for two days before Trump's inauguration, on Jan. 18, 2025.
The march is organized by leading civil rights, racial justice and reproductive health organizations, including the Women's March, Planned Parenthood and the National Women's Law Center.
Details about the march have yet to be finalized, but organizers expect at least 50,000 people to attend.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden will host President-elect Donald Trump for a traditional postelection meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday, the White House said Saturday.
Such a meeting is customary between the outgoing president and the incoming president, and is meant partly to mark the start of a peaceful transfer of power under America's democracy.
