Former President Trump mentions Lancaster County fraudulent voter registration investigation in Truth Social post

Former President Trump questioned in his posts, '"WHAT IS GOING ON IN PENNSYLVANIA???"'

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Former President Donald Trump has turned his attention on Pennsylvania, questioning what's going on in the state in regards to potential voter registration fraud investigations in Lancaster and York Counties.

In the post, both on X and Truth Social, Trump says, "Wow! York County, Pennsylvania, received THOUSANDS of potentially FRAUDULENT Voter Registration Forms and Mail-In Ballot Applications from a third party group. This is on top of Lancaster County being caught with 2600 Fake Ballots and Forms, all written by the same person. Really bad “stuff.” WHAT IS GOING ON IN PENNSYLVANIA??? Law Enforcement must do their job, immediately!!! WOW!!!"

Trump's post refers to stories FOX43 News reported in the last few days. But the numbers in the post are askew.

On Friday, officials in Lancaster County said they identified fraudulent voter registration applications that were among a batch of about 2,600 that were dropped off at the elections office in the week before the announcement and under investigation. Investigators have not said exactly how many applications were caught.

According to the Lancaster County Board of Elections, staff members identified and contained these cases of voter registration fraud.

On Monday, York County's Office of elections said they recently received a large delivery containing thousands of voter registration forms and mail-in ballot applications from a third-party group.

According to York County officials, the delivery was made by Field+Media Corps, which was acting on behalf of the Everybody Votes Campaign.

According to its website, Field+Media Corps is an Arizona-based consulting firm which began as a field operation in 2017, connecting campaigns and projects with communities of color across the state.

Along with Arizona, the firm also hires political canvassers in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and California.

The county is now taking a closer look at those forms and applications. Lancaster County has not said who is responsible for the fraudulent registration applications.

Secretary of State Al Schmidt addressed the investigation in a virtual media update on Monday.

“We still don’t have a lot of details about these implications so it’s important to not rush to judgment. We hope for a speedy and accurate conclusion to the investigation,” he said.
