Stacy Garrity (R) is running for the Pennsylvania Treasurer position in 2024.
She is currently the Pennsylvania Treasurer and assumed office on Jan. 19, 2021. She will be running unopposed on the Republican ticket on April 23, 2024.
According to Ballotpedia, Garrity served in the U.S. Army in Operation Desert Storm in 1991, Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008. She was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Legion of Merit for the deployments.
Garrity graduated from Sayre High School in Bradford County. She earned a B.A. in finance and economics from Bloomsburg University and a certification from the Cornell University Business Management Institute.
Democratic candidates Ryan Bizzarro and Erin McClelland are running in the Democratic primary for Pennsylvania Treasurer. The winner will challenge Garrity on Nov. 5, 2024.
