LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — In the wake of Representative Michael Sturla's decision not to seek reelection, the Lancaster County Democratic Committee has made a recommendation for his replacement on the ballot.
Chairman Tom O’Brien says the Committee's vote was unanimous. It recommended to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party that Nikki Rivera, a teacher at Warwick High School and president of the Manheim Township School Board, take Rep. Sturla's spot on the Democratic ticket.
Rivera also reportedly received the endorsement vote from the Pennsylvania Democratic State Executive Committee, also unanimously.
Rivera will appear on the November ballot, according to O'Brien.
