Timothy DeFoor (R) - Auditor General

DeFoor is running for the Pennsylvania Auditor General position in 2024.

Timothy DeFoor is running for Pennsylvania's Auditor General position in the 2024 election. 

He was sworn in as Pa.'s 50th Auditor General on Jan. 19, 2021. 

DeFoor has previously worked as a special investigator and special agent with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He later became a fraud investigator and internal auditor for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In 2015, he was elected as Dauphin County Controller and worked to create Dauphin County's first Audit Division, according to the auditor general's website

DeFoor grew up in Harrisburg and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Harrisburg Area Community College. He continued to earn his Bachelor's degree in Sociology/History from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's of Science in project management from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. 

Defoor is running unopposed in the Republican primary on April 23, 2024. Democrats Malcolm Kenyetta and Mark Pinsley will face off for the Democratic ticket in April.
