JD Vance to hold rally in Philadelphia

Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance will deliver remarks in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

PHILADELPHIA — Vice Presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance will hold a press conference in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024.

It is unclear what the conference will focus on, but in a press release Vance discussed the perceived effects of the border crisis on Pennsylvania as well as the impact of Philadelphia declaring itself a sanctuary for illegal immigrants in 2016.

Jack Doyle, Pennsylvania Communications Director at Harris for President, released the following statement ahead of Vance's visit to the Commonwealth:

"Philly voters rejected Trump in 2020 because he failed them as president, presiding over record-high unemployment, overseeing all-time high levels of gun violence in Philly, and sending uninsured rates soaring while giving massive handouts to billionaires and big corporations."

The conference will be held at 2300 S. Swanson St. Philadelphia. Doors are expected to open at 10 a.m. and Vance will deliver his remarks at 12 p.m.
