BALTIMORE — The video above comes from "Stream Time Live" and provided a live-look at the Francis Scott Key Bridge before and after its collapse.
Below is a timeline detailing when the massive cargo ship collided with the Key Bridge:
1:24 a.m.: The ship appears to lose power, going dark as it continues barreling toward the bridge.
As the video speeds up, roughly 60 seconds go by before power returns to the ship and the lights come back on.
About a minute later: the power goes out again and the cargo ship goes dark. The power returns 30 seconds later, but by then it's far too late to avoid the bridge.
1:28 a.m.: The cargo ship collides with the bridge causing it to collapse, just four minutes after the scenario started.
As the video replays, you can see vehicles crossing the bridge just moments before the impact. Minutes were the difference between those vehicles being on the bridge when the cargo ship brought it down.
Maryland Governor Wes Moore said the ship's crew issued a mayday call moments before the crash, allowing authorities to limit vehicle traffic on the bridge.
As of Wednesday morning, The Associated Press reported no passenger vehicles were involved in the collapse.
