Two Democrats in the Pennsylvania State House announce immediate resignation

Rep. Donna Bullock (D-195th) resigned from the State House on July 15 and Rep. Stephen Kinsey (D-201st) resigned effective July 16.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Two Pennsylvania lawmakers have announced their resignations from the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives

In letters addressed to Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton, Rep. Donna Bullock (D-195th) resigned from the State House on July 15 and Rep. Stephen Kinsey (D-201st) resigned effective July 16. 

Rep. Bullock has represented the 195th Legislative District in north Philadelphia since Aug. 11, 2015. Rep. Kinsey represented the 201st Legislative District in Philadelphia County and has been a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives since 2013. 

Special elections to fill the vacant seats in the 195th and the 201st legislative districts have been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17.
