UNITED STATES, — The 2024-25 NBA season will start a little early for video game lovers.
NBA 2K25, the latest installment of the renowned NBA video game franchise, will be officially released this Friday, Sept. 6.
Despite Friday's official release date, the "Early Tip-Off" version of the game begins today, allowing the most eager 2K fans to start playing two days prior to the rest of the world. This access is open to anyone that purchased the game before Sept. 6 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
According to 2KRatings, the Philadelphia 76ers are one ten top-tier teams.
The Sixers have an overall rating of 83. This rating was determined by taking the average rating of the top eight players on the lineup.
Center Joel Embiid topped the team's ratings list with a 96 overall.
He is also ranked number five on 2K's Top 100 Current Players on NBA 2K25 list. Embiid is behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic at number one.
The rest of the top eight Sixers consists of Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., Andre Drummond, Kyle Lowry, Caleb Martin and Eric Gordon.
The 2024-25 NBA regular season begins on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
The Sixers will start their season a day later, hosting the Milwaukee Bucks at the Wells Fargo Center.
