STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The Penn State Nittany Lions looked fresh after their bye last week in a game where they shutout the Kent State Golden Flashes 56-0. Penn State opened the scoring with a Drew Allar passing touchdown to senior tight end Tyler Warren and from there continued to dominate from start to finish.
Penn State seized control on both sides of the ball rolling up 718 yards of total offense and holding Kent State to just 67 total yards. Central York grad Beau Pribula subbed in for Allar for the entire second half and finished with a touchdown pass to Khalil Dinkins and added a TD run as well.
With the dominant win, the Nittany Lions improved to 3-0 in their final non-conference game.
"We did a lot of things well today and we got things were are going to work on so just coming in and handling those and staying together on offense is really important," said Senior Tight End Tyler Warren "I think we got a good thing going so far with these first three games so building on that will be important."
Penn State opens up big ten play next week in a ranked matchup against Illinois and Head Coach James Franklin knows it's a big one.
"Our fans are great and we need every single one of them next week to bring White out Energy," said Franklin "That team came in and battled but we are going to enjoy this win for the next few hours and get ready for our next opponent."
A kickoff time has not been determined yet for the matchup set for Beaver Stadium next week.
