WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Penn State's football game at Purdue on Saturday afternoon was not expected to be a close contest and it wasn't. The Nittany Lions scored on the opening possession, forced a punt and then scored again.
PSU led 14-0 midway through the first quarter and were never threatened by the Boilermakers. Quarterbacks Drew Allar and Beau Pribula had only one more incompletion (5) than touchdowns (4) combined in the game. Pribula is a Central York High School graduate and he added a 49-yard touchdown sprint in the third quarter.
Nittany Lions tight end Tyler Warren continued his amazing season with another versatile performance on offense. He caught 8 passes for 127 yards and rushed for 63 more yards and a score on the ground.
Penn State improved to 9-1 on the season and is currently fourth in the College Football Playoff rankings. Purdue dropped to 1-9 and remains in 18th place of the expanded Big Ten Conference.
PSU is at Minnesota next weekend before finishing off their regular season at home vs. Maryland on Sat., November 30.
