STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Penn State is idle this week after its narrow escape against Bowling Green in last Saturday's home opener.
When the Nittany Lions return to action on September 21, they'll host another mid-major program: Kent State.
The school announced the kickoff time for that matchup on Monday. The Golden Flashes and the Nittany Lions will kick it off at 3:30 p.m.
The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network, the school said.
Penn State is 2-0 and ranked No. 8/7 in the AP and USA Today college football polls after last Saturday's 34-27 victory over Bowling Green.
Kent State, which fell to 0-2 with a 23-17 loss to Saint Francis in its home opener last Saturday, visits No. 7/9 Tennessee this week.
