WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Fresh off a 35-6 triumph over Washington in the White Out game last week, Penn State hits the road on Saturday to take on the Purdue Boilermakers in a Big Ten clash in West Lafayette.
The Nittany Lions (8-1) are ranked No. 4 in the AP Top 25, No. 5 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and No. 4 in the College Football Playoff Rankings.
Purdue (1-8) is coming off a 45-0 loss against Ohio State last Saturday, its eighth straight defeat. The Boilermakers are dead last in the Big Ten standings and enter Saturday's game as a huge underdog.

THE SERIES: This will be the 21st meeting between Penn State and Purdue. The Lions hold a 16-3-1 lead in the series and have won the last 10 matchups, including a 35-31 victory in 2022 when the teams last met.
ABOUT PENN STATE: The Lions were firing on all cylinders in last Saturday's White Out game. The offense racked up 486 total yards, while the defense held the Huskies to 193 yards, including just 74 on the ground.
Tight end Tyler Warren set a pair of records against Washington. On a 9-yard grab in the fourth quarter, Warren broke the PSU tight end season receptions record, previously held by Mike Gesicki (57; 2017). Warren has 59 catches this year. On a 2-yard catch, Warren overtook Gesicki (679; 2017) for the PSU tight end season receiving yards record. Warren owns 681 receiving yards this season. He finished the game with eight catches for 75 yards and added a rushing touchdown.
QB Drew Allar completed 20 of 28 passes for 220 yards and hit Julian Fleming for an eight-yard touchdown. Kaytron Allen (20-98, TD), Corey Smith (5-95) and Nicholas Singleton (7-45) powered a ground game that generated 266 yards.
On defense, Jaylen Reed intercepted a pass in the second quarter. He has interceptions in three of the last four games (at USC, at Wisconsin, Washington). DE Abdul Carter collected six tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.
ABOUT PURDUE: The Boilermakers won their first game of the season, defeating Indiana State 49-0. Since then, they've dropped every game, including losses to Top 25 teams Notre Dame (66-7), Illinois (50-49 in OT), Oregon (35-0), and Ohio State.
Purdue coach Ryan Walters is 5-15 in his third season with the Boilermakers, including a 3-13 record in Big Ten games. At age 38, he is the fourth-youngest head coach in the FBS.
QB Hudson Card threw for 108 yards in last week's loss to Ohio State, while RB Devin Mockobee rushed for 73 yards.
DB Dillon Thieneman led the defense with 11 tackles.
Purdue ranks 18th in the Big Ten in scoring offense (18.0) and 16th in total offense (320.4), while sitting 10th in rushing offense (143.3) and 15th in passing offense (177.1).
Card is completing 60.1 percent of his passes for 1,113 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions.
Mockobee leads the Boilermakers with 612 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while RB Reggie Love III has 358 yards and two scores.
The Boilermakers' defense ranks 18th in the conference in scoring defense (37.8), total defense (446.4) and rushing defense (199.9), while sitting 16th in passing defense (246.6).
