YORK, Pa. — High school football's postseason continues in Central Pennsylvania this week with 16 District 3 playoff games in six classifications on the schedule.

Here's a look at what's coming up this weekend in each class.

CLASS 6A

The playoffs continue with the quarterfinals Friday and Saturday at the home field of the higher seed.

The games:

No. 8 Cumberland Valley (6-5) at No. 1 Manheim Township (9-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Eagles defeated Governor Mifflin 44-12 in the first round last week; top-seeded Manheim Township was idle after earning a bye.

No. 5 Dallastown (9-1) at No. 4 Harrisburg (8-2), Saturday, 1 p.m.

Both teams were idle last week after earning first-round byes. Dallastown finished second to Central York in the YAIAA Division 1 race, while Harrisburg and State College finished in a first-place tie in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth division.

No. 7 Cedar Crest (8-3) at No. 2 Wilson (9-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Falcons will be looking to avenge a 14-7 regular-season loss to Wilson, which went on to capture the L-L League Section 1 title. Cedar Crest finished third behind the Bulldogs and Manheim Township. The Falcons defeated Hempfield 49-29 last week to set up the rematch.

No. 6 CD East (7-3) at No. 3 Central York (8-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

CD East finished third in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth race, while Central York won the YAIAA Division 1 title. Both teams were off last week.

CLASS 5A

The top four teams in the bracket jump into action after being idle last week. Games will be held at the home field of the higher seed.

The games:

No. 8 Exeter Township (10-1) at No. 1 New Oxford (10-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

Exeter finished a game behind undefeated Conestoga Valley in the L-L League Section 2 race, and advanced with a 56-3 rout of South Western in the first round. New Oxford, which won the YAIAA Division 2 title, beat South Western 48-20 on Sept. 6.

No. 5 Shippensburg (10-1) at No. 4 Conestoga Valley (10-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Mid-Penn Keystone runner-up Greyhounds opened the playoffs with a 20-13 victory over Warwick. CV was idle after winning the L-L League Section 2 title.

No. 7 Cocalico (8-3) at No. 2 Mechanicsburg (10-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

The defending District 3 Class 5A champion Eagles opened the playoffs with a 42-21 victory over No. 10 Hershey last week. Mechanicsburg, the Mid-Penn Keystone champs, beat Hershey by the same 42-21 margin on Oct. 18.

No. 6 Bishop McDevitt (9-2) at No. 3 Conrad Weiser (10-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

The dubious reward for the L-L League Section 3 champion Scouts' unblemished regular season is a matchup with the surging Crusaders, who dusted Lower Dauphin 42-7 in the first round after finishing second behind co-champs Harrisburg and State College in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth division.

CLASS 4A

The quarterfinals get underway at the home of the higher seed.

The games:

No. 8 Elco (6-5) at No. 1 Lampeter-Strasburg (10-0), Friday, 7 p.m.

The Raiders defeated No. 9 Octorara 31-6 last week to set up a rematch with the top-seeded Pioneers, who won the L-L League Section 4 title with a perfect regular season. L-S dusted Elco 52-7 on Oct. 11.

No. 5 Twin Valley (8-2) at No. 4 Susquehanna Township (8-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

Both teams were idle last week after earning first-round byes. Twin Valley finished third behind L-S and Wyomissing in the L-L League Section 4 race, while Hanna finished in a second-place tie with East Pennsboro in the Mid-Penn Colonial division.

No. 7 East Pennsboro (8-3) at No. 2 Wyomissing (8-2), Saturday, 1 p.m.

The Panthers defeated No. 10 Susquehannock 42-14 in the first round to set up a clash with perennial powerhouse Wyomissing, the L-L League Section 4 runner-up.

No. 6 Eastern York (8-2) at No. 3 West York (8-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

It's a rematch between YAIAA Division 2 neighbors and a chance for Eastern to avenge a heartbreaking 20-18 loss to West York on Sept. 27.

CLASS 3A

We've got two semifinal matchups on tap this week.

The games:

No. 5 Berks Catholic (7-4) at No. 1 Bermudian Springs (9-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

It's a tough draw for the top seed, as the surging Saints are probably a team nobody wants to face in their first postseason matchup. BC blasted No. 4 Biglerville 48-7 last week for its fifth straight win. Bermudian Springs, the YAIAA Division 3 champ, beat Biglerville 28-6 on Sept. 27.

No. 3 Schuylkill Valley (9-2) at No. 2 Trinity (8-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

The second-ranked Shamrocks were off last week, and will open defense of their District 3 title against the L-L League Section 5 champions, who hammered Littlestown 55-13 last week and are riding an eight-game winning streak. Trinity won the Mid-Penn Colonial title in the regular season and has won eight of its last nine.

CLASS 2A

No. 2 Lancaster Catholic (7-4) at No. 1 Steelton-Highspire (9-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

The first of two District 3 title games on tap this week pits last year's Class 1A district and state champions in Steel-High against a former two-time state champ in Lancaster Catholic.

Steel-High, the Mid-Penn Capital champ in the regular season, dusted Upper Dauphin 34-14 in last week's semifinals. Catholic, the L-L League Section 5 runner-up, defeated Camp Hill 27-20 in its semifinal game.

CLASS 1A

No. 2 York Catholic (4-6) at No. 1 Delone Catholic (8-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

It's an all-York County matchup in the Class 1A title game as a pair of YAIAA Division 3 rivals square off for the second time in three weeks. Delone dusted York Catholic 37-14 in Week 10 of the regular season; both teams were off last week.
