Steelton-Highspire's quest for a second straight PIAA Class 1A title continues this week with a huge game against District 2 champion Lackawanna Trail.
The battle of unbeatens takes place Friday at 7 p.m. at Scranton High School.
The Rollers are trying to win their their third state title in four years, but Lackawanna Trail's throwback Wing-T offense and stifling defense could present a stiff test in the quarterfinals.

ABOUT LACKAWANNA TRAIL: After a perfect regular season, the Lions won the District 2 championship by defeating arch-rival Old Forge on Nov. 3, then hammered Morrisville in a District 1/2 subregional to earn their way into States.
Last week, Lackawanna Trail blasted District 11 champ Minersville 40-0 to earn its 13th straight victory.
The Lions have posted shutouts in four of their last five games and haven't given up more than two touchdowns in a game since Oct. 6. Lackawanna Trail held Minersville's star running back, Luke Stevenosky, to 104 yards on 26 carries and forced four turnovers. The Lions allow just 9.3 points per game.
Lackawanna Trail runs a Wing-T offense that centers around the backfield tandem of Lukas Gumble and Demitrius Douglas. That duo combined for 368 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the win over Minersville. Gumble finished with 246 yards on 11 carries and scored four touchdowns.
Gumble has 1,593 yards and 28 touchdowns on the ground this season, while Douglas has more than 600 yards and 12 TDs. Hunter Patterson is another backfield threat, with over 500 yards and 10 TDs this year. QB Stephen Jervis has thrown for more than 700 yards and 10 TDs for the Lions as well.
Lackawanna Trail has won five District 2 titles in eight years, but has never won a state crown.
ABOUT STEELTON-HIGHSPIRE: The Rollers survived both rainy, wet field conditions and a tough and determined opponent in last week's 21-7 victory over Northern Bedford. Both teams struggled with turnovers and slick conditions in a scoreless first half, but Steel-High found its footing after halftime, as QB Alex Erby hit Durrell Ceasar Jr. for a pair of touchdowns and Ronald Burnette found the end zone on a 25-yard run.
Meanwhile, the Roller defense held Northern Bedford to 158 total yards.
Steel-High's 21-point output was its lowest of the season. The Rollers average 45.3 points per game.
Erby, the state's all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns, finished with 136 yards on 8-of-12 passing. His season totals: 3,541 yards and 44 touchdowns on 182 of 235 passing.
Burnette's 69 yards last week put him over 1,000 for the season; he's got 1,044 yards and 11 scores on the ground.
Ceasar, Steel-High's all-time receiving leader, has 81 catches for 1,740 yards and 19 touchdowns this year.
The Rollers are chasing their third state title in four years. Steel-High has won four Class 1A titles overall.
