HARRISBURG, Pa. — NFL star Micah Parsons announced he will host the second annual Micah Parson Charity Carnival in his hometown of Harrisburg next week.
Described in his Instagram announcement as "A Summer Community Celebration," the charity event will feature "carnival games, exciting giveaways, and delicious food trucks."
The carnival will be held on Monday, July 15 at Harrisburg High School, Parsons said.
The former Penn State star and three-time All-Pro linebacker with the Dallas Cowboys will also host a free football camp for players ages 6 to 16 on the same day.
The camp is free, but the camp's website notes that tickets are "based on availability."
Parsons and his coaches will provide camp attendees "with valuable football knowledge and hands-on instruction in a fun, high-energy, positive environment," the website says.
Camp activities will include lectures, fundamental skill and competitive stations. All campers will be grouped according to age to ensure proper levels of competition and instruction.
Those who attend should dress in athletic attire, camp organizers said.
Each camp participant will receive:
- Camp team photo with Micah Parsons
- Limited-edition Micah Parsons Lions Den Football Camp T-shirt
- Take home items from event sponsors
