A new study has revealed the most loyal fans across the NFL and Pa. teams are well-represented!

PHILADELPHIA — A new study has revealed the most loyal fans across the NFL and Pennsylvania teams are well-represented.

Research by bookmaker review site Smart Betting Guide analyzed eight metrics such as social media followers, engagement, average home, away and total attendance and merch sales. The maximum score that a team could receive is 80.

According to the study, Eagles fans have the second most loyal fanbase in the NFL, only behind the Dallas Cowboys (news that will be a sting to your typical Eagles fan).

Online, Eagles fans are some of the most engaged with a 2.62% engagement rate, one of the highest in the NFL, as well as the highest number of average likes on posts (72,831).

The Eagles have an average attendance of 69,439, which is on par with the league average attendance of 69,441.

Their supporter index was totaled at 51.54, just behind Dallas with a supporter index of 55.22.

Chiefs and 49ers fans respectively ranks third and fourth on the list with the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase rounding out the top five.

With over 3.5 million followers on Instagram, it's impressive that fans maintain an engagement rate of 1.73%, according to the study. Steelers fans spend an average $134.36 annually on merch and $80.70 per game day on food and drinks.

Stadium attendance is also high with an average of 67,722 people per game. The fanbase earned an overall support index of 47.40.

Who rounds out the top ten? That'd be Cincinnati Bengals fans at six, followed by Raiders, Cardinals, Chargers and Patriots supporters.
