ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — A Central Pennsylvania golf pro has earned one of his profession's most prestigious awards.

Parks Price, the club professional at Hanover Country Club, was named the PGA Golf Professional of the Year by the Professional Golfers Association of America's Central Counties Chapter.

Price was selected by his peers based on years of experience and stellar tournament play, Hanover Country Club said in a press release. Price, who recently completed his first season as head pro at Hanover Country Club, carried a 72.18 scoring average in 11 tournaments and posted four Top 10 finishes on the main Philadelphia tournament schedule.

Before accepting his position at Hanover Country Club, Price spent five years as Director of Instruction at the Country Club of York in addition to his experiences in the Carolinas PGA.

During his first year at Hanover Country Club, Price created a variety of golfing programs for players of all ages, including instructional clinics, tournaments, and other fun events.

"Player development and engagement at the Club will be my primary focus for 2025, having more clinics and camps for players of all skill levels," Price said. "The Junior and Women's Golf instructional programs will have a new structure for what is expected to be rapid growth years for our club."
