The UGSA announced there are a number of immersive digital options that will allow fans to get close to all of this week's action through phones or streaming devices

LANCASTER, Pa. — If you can't make it to Lancaster Country Club to watch the 79th U.S. Women's Open this week, don't worry -- the United States Golf Association has you covered.

The USGA announced there are a comprehensive suite of immersive digital options that will allow fans to get close to all of this week's action -- all through their phones or other streaming devices.

“We’re thrilled to provide fans with an exceptional level of access to this year’s championship through a number of innovative digital offerings that are sure to bring golf fans closer than ever before to the action at Lancaster,” said Jon Podany, USGA chief commercial officer. “We’re especially excited to announce expanded featured groups coverage showcasing two groups in the morning and afternoon waves Thursday through Sunday. These offerings provide fans across the world the opportunity to engage in the U.S. Women’s Open.”

During coverage of this week's tournament, which runs from Thursday through Sunday, fans can expect:

USGA App Built by Deloitte

The USGA App is an all-in-one destination for fans that offers features and innovations to bolster wall-to-wall content for the U.S. Women’s Open and provide a more engaging digital landscape.

New this year, the app will feature a leader board “Showcase Mode,” which is designed to innovate in the area that garners the most interaction and engagement. This mode will offer live streaming and immersive, vertical video storytelling. Fans will also be able to follow the championship leader board and individual player scorecards on their iOS phone’s lock screen via Live Activities.

ShotCast Powered by Cisco

ShotCast will allow fans to follow the U.S. Women's Open through a next-generation digital experience featuring every shot from every player – making it the only women’s golf event to feature such technology.

The elevated digital experience, leveraging the PGA Tour’s ShotLink technology, will be available on both the app and on web and will include dynamic shot trails, radar data, 3D hole imagery, green views and video highlights, so fans can follow everything live or catch up on their favorite players after the round. From the first tee to the final putt, ShotCast Powered by Cisco is reimagining the ways fans experience championship season.

USGA Fantasy Flip Presented by Ally

New this year, this free-to-play fantasy game will offer fans the chance to be invested in the action. Fans will be able to build their own team by opening packs of player cards on the USGA app. Fans then will root for the players on their fantasy team and will score points according to their player’s outcome performance on the course. This game will be available during all eight broadcasted USGA championships, starting with the U.S. Women’s Open, and will offer fans the chance to win great prizes throughout the season, including two tickets to next year’s U.S. Women’s Open.

Live Streaming Presented by American Express

New this year, two featured groups will be showcased in each stream, providing more action and doubling the number of players available to follow. Up to 10 hours per day of featured groups coverage, including morning and afternoon waves, will be available for all four rounds of the championship on USWomensOpen.com and on the USGA app for iOS and Android, all presented by American Express.
