Camp Hill boys win 2A state soccer championship in double overtime

Senior Richard Lutkins headed in a corner kick for the Lion's third title.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — It doesn't matter how it happens, winning a state soccer championship is exciting and unforgettable. 

Camp Hill goes next level with the drama for their 2023 PIAA 2A Boys Championship with a thrilling double overtime header to complete a comeback to win the title 2-1.

Down 1-0, the Lions scored the tying goal off the foot of Ty Kirchoff. 

After regulation, Camp Hill and Quaker Valley went scoreless in the first overtime. 

During the second extra session, Jack Kennedy lifted a perfect corner kick and Richard Lutkins elevated and headed the pass into the back of the net to win the title.  

It is the third PIAA boys soccer crown for Camp Hill.
