BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Hershey Bears have reached the second half of the regular season, and they are currently the top team in the American Hockey League.
FOX43 traveled to Bridgeport, Connecticut to broadcast the Bears road game against the Islanders on Monday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. on FOX43's main channel.
Hershey is currently 12 points in front of second place Providence in the Atlantic Division standings. Bridgeport is in last place, a full 14 points behind 7th place Lehigh Valley. The Bears are favorites to earn their 30th win in just their 38th game, but they understand they still need to bring their best effort no matter the opponent.
"For us, it's just finding consistency for 60 minutes and being able to replicate that game in and game out," said Bears defenseman Chase Priskie. "Whether you are tired, whether you are fresh, whether you are on the road, at home, whatever the circumstances might be. That's all we've been harping on, is building our game in that room."
