HERSHEY, Pa. — The Hershey Bears this week announced they'll host a special event for hockey fans and beer lovers at an American Hockey League matchup with Rochester next month at the GIANT Center.
FeBREWary, a one-of-a-kind special event, will be held before the Bears take on the Americans on February 24. The beer festival will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the puck drop for the hockey game at 7 p.m.
"The FeBREWary pre-game event features the chance to try a selection of great beers and wines from premier local breweries and wineries, enjoy delicious food, fun, games, live music, dance performances, and more," the team said.
Tickets cost $65, and include:
- The chance to taste a selection of some of the best beers and wines from premier local vendors
- A sampling pass for six (6) food stops
- A FeBREWary Alpine Hat, sponsored by Ever Grain Brewing Co.
- A FeBREWary Tote Bag
- A FeBREWary tasting glass, sponsored by Rusty Rail
- One ticket to the hockey game vs. Rochester
A FeBREWary Designated Driver Pass is also available for $45 that includes all the above, except for alcohol sampling, the Bears added.
Select GIANT Center concessions on the concourse will have food available for purchase during the event.
All patrons must be 21+ to purchase a FeBREWary ticket and attend the event. A valid ID is required to enter. You must have one of the two above FeBREWary ticket packages to attend the event.
Rusty Rail Brewing will be unveiling its own Bears' beer during FeBREWary and Troegs will debut an all-new release as well. Other vendors expected to attend the event include Ever Grain Brewing Co, Rubber Soul, Rotunda, Wyndridge, Zero Day, Bully Hill, Englewood and more! There'll be a live accordion player and Schuhplattler dance performances will occur throughout the event.
The fun will continue during the game as the Bears will take the ice in FeBREWary-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off post-game to benefit local charities as part of the Hershey Bears Cares program.
