CLEVELAND — The Hershey Bears couldn't close out the Cleveland Monsters on their second try, as the Monsters won game 5, 5-1.
It is the first time the Bears have lost back-to-back games in regulation this season.
Hershey's Logan Day opened the scoring in the first period. The Bears held a 1-0 lead going into the second period.
Cleveland took control in the second. The Monsters scored four goals in the period, including two from Brendan Gaunce.
Josh Dunne added one in the third for a 5-1 final.
