HERSHEY, Pa. — A Hershey Bears player was hospitalized after a team celebration on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the team, a player experienced a medical issue during a team celebration, and out of an abundance of caution, the player was transported to Hershey Medical Center.
The player was evaluated and then released early Tuesday morning after officials determined no additional medical assistance was needed.
The Bears won the franchise's 13th Calder Cup on Monday night.
Tonight, the team will host a celebration at GIANT Center for its players, staff and fans.
