CLEVELAND — The Hershey Bears took control of Game 3 in the second period and never looked back, beating the Cleveland Monsters 6-2.
Hershey opened the scoring in the first period. Chase Priskie got his third of the playoffs on a power play.
At the beginning of the second period, Ethen Frank tallied another power-play goal.
Just over a minute later, Cleveland pushed back with a goal from Alex Whelan to make it 2-1.
Trey Fix-Wolansky tied the game for the Monsters at 12:17 with a power play goal.
Then, Hershey took over the gameplay. The Bears scored three goals in just over three minutes.
At 17:14, Alex Limoges got the lead back for the Bears with his third goal of the playoffs.
At 18:23, Ivan Miroshnichenko scored, getting his third point of the evening.
Joe Snively gave Hershey a 5-2 lead at 19:32 of the second period.
Henrik Rybinski sealed the deal with an empty net goal with 4:06 left for the 6-2 win.
