Orioles seek to repeat AL East title in 2024 as fans pack Camden Yards for Opening Day

The Baltimore Orioles open their season against the Los Angeles Angels at Camden Yards.

BALTIMORE — It's an unfamiliar territory for the Baltimore Orioles, as they are opening 2024 as the defending American League East Champions, and the likely favorites to repeat that feat.

The team opens its season as apart of Major League Baseball's Opening Day on Thursday, hosting the Los Angeles Angels at Camden Yards at 3:05 p.m.

New owner David Rubenstein and Hall-of-Fame player Cal Ripken Jr. spoke before the game.

Fans packed the bars and area around the stadium hours before first pitch, looking to enjoy the vibes of a fresh season and a team with high expectations.

Our team was in Baltimore and captured the full scope of the Opening Day festivities.

The Orioles will have an off day on Friday before resuming their series against the Angels on Saturday at 4:05 p.m.
