Central Dauphin linemen sign with James Madison and Maryland

Evan Bushong and Anthony Robsock have played a lot of football together over the years, so it's only fitting they sign their letters of intent next to one another.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — When asked how long Evan Bushong and Anthony Robsock have known each other, Bushong laughed and said, "Since we were babies."

The two Central Dauphin linemen have been on the same line for years, so it was fitting that they signed their National Letters of Intent sitting next to one another.  Bushong will head to James Madison University, while Robsock is off to Maryland.

Between his time on varsity and his dad being on the coaching staff when he was younger, Bushong grew up at Central Dauphin's football practices,

"It was so often, almost every day.  As a ball boy, I was here every day.  My dad brought me to practice just to get my energy out," said Bushong with a smile.

The Dukes liked what they saw from the 6-foot-4, 295-pound lineman, and he liked a lot of what he saw from JMU.

"It's the culture.  The winning culture is a really big thing for me and the location.  Location-wise it was one of the closest schools that offered me.  It's three hours right down I-81, and that's a big thing for me because I want most of my family to be able to come to my games."

Anthony Robsock will be even closer to home as he made things official with the University of Maryland.

"It was the culture and the way the coaches treat me.  The way they recruited me, it really made me feel like I was family and not just a name. They told me straight up when I'm going to get there, the coaches are going to be hard on me.  But, they also said 'Once you're a part of this family, there's no going back.  You're there for the rest of your life.'"

The 6-foot-6 280-pound lineman has his own football pedigree as his dad Tom played at West Virginia University and went on to spend time with the Oakland Raiders and NFL Europe.

Wednesday's signing day was a long time coming for Robsock.

"It's a weight off the shoulders and to be officially part of the family, it's indescribable," added Robsock.
