Sports Recruiters has announced that nominations are now open for the 15th annual Mr. Pennsylvania Football Awards program. The prestigious honors recognize the top high school football players in the Keystone State.
The nomination process is open to all Pa. high school football players who participated during the 2023 season. Fans, media and coaches will vote to select the winners once the nomination period closes on Jan. 5, 2025.
Two awards will be presented - one for the Small School Mr. Football (classes 1A, 2A, 3A) and one for the Big School Mr. Football (classes 4A, 5A, 6A). A separate category of Mr. PA Football Lineman Awards will also be given.
Past winners of the Mr. PA Football Award include notable names like Rushel Shell, Saquon Barkley and D'Andre Swift, all of whom went on to successful collegiate and professional football careers.
"There have been many outstanding performances across Pennsylvania high school football this season," said Wayde Marsico, Director of the Mr. PA Football Selection Committee.
Fans will be able to vote for their favorite players starting on Jan. 6, 2025, after the initial nomination process is complete. The media panel and coaches from around the state will also participate in the voting.
The Mr. PA Football winners will be announced on March 8, 2025, while the Mr. PA Football Lineman Award recipients will be revealed on Feb. 21, 2025.
