STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Warwick High School grad Nolan Rucci's time in the transfer portal was short-lived.
He will follow in his parent's footsteps and become a student-athlete at Penn State.
News of the lineman leaving Wisconsin and entering the portal started to circulate at the end of last week, and by the end of the weekend, he made his intentions known on Instagram that he would be a Nittany Lion.
Rucci was recruited by Penn State while playing for the Warriors, but the five-star recruit signed with Wisconsin during his senior, joining his older brother Hayden in Madison.
A day before Nolan entered the portal, Hayden, a tight end for the Badgers, announced that he would be leaving Wisconsin to get ready for the upcoming NFL Draft.
His father Todd was an offensive lineman for the Nittany Lions before going on to play for the New England Patriots, while his mother Stacy played field hockey for PSU, where she was an All-American.
Rucci will arrive in Happy Valley with two years of eligibility.
A pair of Penn State linemen have declared for the draft, which could mean instant playing time at Beaver Stadium for Rucci.
Rucci is the second Pennsylvania native to transfer from Wisconsin to Penn State this month, as the Nittany Lions also landed defensive end and linebacker Jordan Mayer.
