MLB Spring Breakout Preview | Pirates, Orioles top prospects face off in exhibition

The top prospects from the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles will open MLB's Spring Breakout schedule with an exhibition on Thursday, March 14.

BRADENTON, Fla. — Major League Baseball's inaugural four-day prospect showcase is opening with an exhibition of the best young players from the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles.

The teams of prospects will face off on March 14 at 7:05 p.m. at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Fla. in a seven-inning showcase as a part of MLB's first Spring Breakout, a series of 16 games that will be played between teams comprised of each organization's top young players.

These contests will put the focus on baseball's young stars in a way they have never been showcased before.
